Get the Android app. It keeps reading with the screen off, while you use other apps, and after you close it, with Play and Pause on the lock screen.

When it's downloaded, tap it to install. If your phone asks, allow installing apps from Chrome, and tap Install anyway if Play Protect doesn't recognise it. Then link it below the same way.
Turn on syncing to have your text, and the place you got to, on your phone too. Paste on your computer, open the app on your phone, and it's there.
Everything is also saved on the phone itself, so you can read without internet (for example while travelling).
Your text is locked (encrypted) on your device before it's sent. Only your own devices have the key, so nobody else can read it.
